Have you seen it all? None of us has, but some days it feels that way. I was in Seattle the other day and drove on one of those cool cobblestone streets that are becoming rare. I sold a home near the foot of the Space Needle and the cobblestone charmed me. I have sold five of the most pristine acres in Woodinville. How about the longest dock in Kirkland and the best Mercer Island view? Then there was the newest and best rambler not to mention my best friend’s home? The second choice home because the first choice had 12 offers and was priced out of range? I also sold the best Bothell commute and cannot fail to mention the single lady’s dream condo? A boat slip and the two-single people purchase that led to a wedding the next year was another thrill. The dream property with a stable was a long awaited dream? The new home purchase after arriving from Denmark having lived in a property built two centuries earlier? The home finally found after taking a break from looking to have a baby? Then there was the family from Russia who worked and saved for seven years and paid all cash for a home? The grandma who helped her children (with seven of their own) purchase a giant home then built out a basement apartment for herself? The dream retirement property after maintaining acreage for too long was a relaxing transfer? The inheritance purchase for a first-time home buyer brought even me to tears? Purchasing the home they had rented for over 20 years? So many great experiences that I have lost count. I haven’t seen it all but I have seen enough to know what I am doing and to celebrate these many victories! If you notice, these stories are about people and not just the real estate. There is no mention of commission because I am always the last one paid and that is alright with me. – Pam
